High-quality small-sized material for the biological filters in the form of porous ceramic rings whose shape ensures good water flow and therefore an adequate supply of oxygen and nutrients to the biological filter.

The small size of PORO RING S allows it to be used even in the smallest compartments of internal filters and waterfalls. The effective surface area of PORO RINGS S is 1000 m2/I by virtue of the complex network of pores, whose water can flow freely, bringing essential nutrients and oxygen to the nitrifying bacteria.

The porous structure of PORO RIGS S provides an excellent substrate for colonization by these bacteria, which convert ammonia (NH+) ions (and nitrite (NO2), both of which are dangerous to fish) into the relatively harmless nitrate (NO3) which can be removed from the aquarium during normal water changes.
