The new Fluro LED light allows you to see your terrarium during the night. It produces a soft, sparkling, blue ultraviolet light suitable for many scorpions (i.e. pandinus imperator), as well as some insects and spiders. UV-emitting light also irradiates some cobwebs and stimulates reproductive behaviour in some spider breeds. The latest research has also shown that some types of chameleon such as the panther chameleon start to glow blue under UV light. Some types glow only around the head area, while the whole body glows for others. The hidden signal color facilitates communication between members of the same species. The energy efficient and energy saving Fluro LED consumes only 1 W and therefore saves almost 80% in energy costs compared to conventional headlights. In this way, the Fluro LED emits almost no heat and therefore does not affect the invertebrate's temperature reduction at night, which is critical for many species.
