The advantages of CONTINUUM

They literally have the world's highest filtering surface area by far, and yet they provide extremely good flow! Each litre of Exxodus provides over 26,000 square metres of internal surface area for bacterial colonisation, providing nitrification and huge amounts of anaerobic or anoxic surface area to enhance denitrification.

Exxodus will reduce levels of toxic ammonia, nitrite and nitrate, as well as phosphate and organic pollutants in all aquariums. It can be used as a primary or sole bacterial filtration media. It is particularly suitable for reef systems with live rock. It is used in a tank filter, reactor or other aquarium filter with good water flow. Works well submerged or in a drip system.

Use in aquariums.

For maximum results, it should be used concurrently with Reef BioPellet Fuel carbon sources, Reef Micro Fuel for saltwater aquariums and Flora Viv Prolifera for freshwater aquariums as a growth accelerator and BacterGen - M or F to jump start biology and keep the colonization process at elevated levels.

Protocol instructions.

Use at least 160 ml of Exxodus for every 400 L of aquarium, more if it has a large live load. Gently rinse Exxodus with distilled or aquarium water. Place the product in a plastic bucket submerged in aquarium water and add the recommended dosage of BacterGen for your aquarium size. Allow the product to remain hydrated for 24 hours, gently stirring the water occasionally. Place the inoculated Exxodus in your filter. To avoid fouling, it is recommended to use a pre-filter, sponge or other mechanical pre-filter.

Caution: do not put it in a fluidise filter and do not let it rub against moving parts.

The material may wear out due to mechanical action and produce dust.
